QOps 2.x reaches end-of-life

Announced: 1 August 2026. End of support: 1 February 2027.

QOps 2.x is being retired so development stays focused on the current 3.x line. QOps 3.x is a superset of 2.x: it keeps dual-target support (Windows PowerShell 5.1 and PowerShell 7, on Windows, Linux, and macOS), adds Qlik Cloud support and the QOps Portal, and receives all ongoing fixes and features.

We are giving six months of notice, on this schedule:

• 1 August 2026: this notice is published and the 2.x update channel is marked deprecated. QOps 2.x keeps working and remains downloadable throughout the heads-up period.
• 1 February 2027: end of support. The 2.x update channel closes. No further 2.x builds, updates, or downloads will be published. Existing 2.x installations keep running but become unsupported and no longer receive updates.

What you need to do

Upgrade to QOps 3.x (current: v3.0.10, tagged 2026-07-28) by running QOps-Update -Force, which moves a 2.x installation onto the current 3.x stable channel — now shipping QOps Portal 1.0.0. Alternatively, download and install the latest 3.x release directly from the installation guide. If you are already on 3.x, no action is needed.
