QOps-Release to a shared or personal space keeps the application's Id
When a Qlik Cloud shared or personal space already holds an application with the name you release, QOps-Release now builds into that application in place. It keeps its app Id, so links, schedules, subscriptions and bookmarks pointing at it stay valid. Nothing is moved into the space and nothing is removed from it. This is the same rule QOps-Publish follows for these spaces.
When the space holds no application with that name yet, the release builds a new one and moves it in. Published in the application's properties file applies to managed spaces only, and releases to managed spaces work as before. An update in place carries content, not data: add -Reload to the release to refresh it. The details are on the QOps-Release command page.
